Technology in a Car

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kia Rio for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It was bound to happen.

Of course it has been in the luxury cars for some time now, but now it is in the economy ones too.

Modern day technology comes standard in the new Kia Rio for 2012.

The Bluetooth, rear camera display, and USB jack are just the beginning of some of the great tech features in this vehicle.

The biggest feature to me is the UVO Technology.

It is powered by Microsoft®  and it uses your voice to command the phone and audio devices so your eyes don't have to leave the road and you can concentrate more on driving.

With everyone talking on their cell phones these days while driving, this is one great safety invention.

And the navigation console is pretty cool too - there is no need to get lost with this piece of technology leading you to your destination.

Kia sposored a scavenger hunt between two teams and each used the new Kia Rio to get around the city of LA to complete the challenges.

Both teams had a lot of fun as they Zipped and Dashed around the city with the final prize being that they get to meet Christina Milian.

That UVO Technology in the Kia certainly helped them out as they went from the Griffith Park Merry-Go-Round, to Amoeba Records, Rodeo Drive, Pink's Hot Dogs, and finally the Roosevelt Hall where Christina awaited them.

I think counting those palms on Rodeo Drive was the most challenging.  It seems easy, but a wrong number messes up the next challenge, and we all know what can happen when something is done in a hurry.

Check out he Rio Explorer Page to get a glimpse of this new modern affordable car.

And not only are the tech features a great draw - this car gets 30 miles per gallon of gas in the city and 40 on the highway.

A great savings all around!

This was a fun video to watch - let me know what you think of it:
