Keeping a blog or website current with old links is something that often gets overlooked.
Especially when it is one that has been around for a few years.
And putting in new links is also something that should be ongoing.
Many links that I put in my blog years ago are no longer valid.
The websites have closed, the blogs have been deleted, or not posted to for a long time.
Those links have got to be taken off.
They only lead the search engines to dead ends or bad websites that have taken over the domains.
And it reflects badly on your blog or website ranking.
I have seen many good blogs come and go over the years, but I often forget to delete the links I have for them on my website.
It's a good thing to remember to do every few months
And add a few new ones too - the search engines love new content.
